Why Would You Ever Consider Biohacking?
This wellness subculture might offer some needed answers
In a world where wellness trends seem as fleeting as the latest viral sensation, a subculture has quietly emerged, promising a novel approach to health optimization: biohacking. This intriguing movement has gathered attention for its unconventional methods and potential to revolutionize how we perceive and pursue wellness. I was biohacking without knowing what I was doing for a while now. Let’s see how this movement started and why it can level up our lifestyles.
Biohacking, at its core, is the art of self-optimization through a combination of biology, technology, and lifestyle modifications. It’s a movement that challenges the status quo, encouraging individuals to take control of their health in a way that goes beyond traditional norms.
While I had heard of biohacking several times before, it always seemed like something distant that costs a lot of money and only privileged people can do. Well, after more research I’ve understood that all the little things I was doing to improve my lifestyle and especially my hormones were part of biohacking. There is no need to be Brain Jonson and take 100 pills/day (he is probably beyond biohacking anyway).
